by:

1,2,3, very easy to install superb quality.

by:

Plugged in just as it showed in the video.
Thanks

by:

Harness connected right up to factory connectors in no time. A quaity product that keep your wiring looking and performing the way the factory designed it to.

by:

Fit perfectly,fast shipping

by:

The harness fit perfectly. It took me less than ten minutes to install. It's a quick and easy solution. Goodbye wire splicing!

by:

it was easy to install havent tried it on the trailer

by:

easy to install (once I removed the upper panel covers to expose the correct harness plugs...)
Also, dont forget to attach the ground

Works great!

by:

the length of the wires from the 4 pin inline connector to the first spline it is a bit short, 6 more inches would be more "forgiving"; it is manageable.

Hi
Installed in minutes appears to
be a nice addition to our business for hauling more merchandise. BUT the four smaller flat pieces of steel that hold the bolt head spin inside the 2010 Chevy Express frame and torqueing to speck was not achieved. I was able to wedge 3 of the four plates with bolt to stop it from spinning and torqued to spec but left one middle one un torqued. The light kit will have to be installed when the vehicle is empty to access the panels for removal.

light kit went easy all is well thanks. One thing, keeper pin a little hard to access so far under the bumper but the hitch does its job.

Easy install, quick shipping, zero comp laints

by:

Very easy to install on my 2018 Express 3500 Passenger. Follow this video: https://www.etrailer.com/tv-install-tekonsha-prodigy-p3-trailer-brake-controller-2017-chevrolet-express-van-90195.aspx

I ran the right side light in a channel over the door (see pic of me pointing to it). I used an old tension rod to punch through the gasket and pull the wires through the body... no cords dangling out of my door!

I also installed the Curt Heavy Duty hitch and the 7 wire RV harness (for vans without factory wiring)... all using the video above.

by:

If you can't figure out the install on this, then you should'nt be driving. Easy, fast and worth the price. I paired this with the wiring kit for trailer brakes and 7-wire harness and I'm ready to tow. 2007 Chevrolet Express AWD passenger van.

by:

Sal was great, got the order out same day FAST. Arrived right on time. The items were exactly what I needed to get my Van together for towing complete with hitch and wiring harness.

by:

Great instructions. Took only 10 min to install. works great.

by:

Both products were huge disappointment but this one was a total joke. The connectors do plug right in but the wires are too short to cleanly route or hide they have to be hanging in the air to reach - same behind the vehicle. This is worthless unless you just want the plugs, you will have to cut and buy a new flat to extend to your receiver unless you just want it all hanging from the plugs in the way of your cargo.

by:

Excellent just as advertised received curt class lV and wiring # 118392 via UPS had it all installed in just over an hour

by:

Fit perfect. East install. Pig tail was plenty long enough.

by:

Easy to install great instructions

Purchased 2 kits for our work vans, we are a yr in and they both work flawlessly

  • Installing Trailer Wiring and Brake Controller on a 2018 Chevy Express 3500
I'm not sure what that 8-pin plug on your daughter's 2018 Chevy Express Van 3500 is, but I can say that is definitely not something used for trailer wiring. Since the Express Van didn't come with the factory tow package 7-Way you'll want to look for a frame pocket on the driver side rear left corner of the frame for a seven-wire harness with the connector that you should be able to install wiring with a US round connection, like the Hopkins # HM40975, to. If you can't find that wiring...

  • Recommended 7-Way and Brake Controller on 2019 Chevy Express Van
For the 2019 Chevy Express Van 2500 without a towing package, you will need the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118392 which will give you a 4-pole to start with if you don't already have one. Then you will need a 4-pole upgrade kit part # ETBC7 which comes with all of the components needed to wire in a functional 7-way on your van. I have attached the video and wiring diagram for your reference. It sounds like you may be towing a trailer...

  • Parts Needed to Install 4-Way/7-Way and Brake Controller 2012 Chevy Express 2500
Hey David, we can definitely help with that! So the first thing you need is a 4-way like the part # 118392 that is a confirmed fit for your 2012 Chevy Express 2500 and then from there you'd need to convert it to a 7-way with the part # ETBC7 which comes with everything needed to wire in a brake controller as well like the P2 part # 90885. The ETBC7 kit has a 4-way on the side as well so you'll end up with both connectors you are wanting as well.

  • Does Blue Wire of 7-Way Need to be Connected when Using Curt Echo Brake Controller
Hey John, so since the Curt Echo part # C51180 provides it's own brake output circuit you don't need to connect the blue wire of the 7-way adapter part # 37185 on the vehicle side. Only the black wire needs to be connected. Which we have a version of this adapter with just what you'd need with the part # ETBC7. If you need a 4-way too you'd want the part # 118392 and you'd be set.

  • Best Way To Add 5-Flat To 2017 Chevy Express 3500
Hey Jerry, thanks for reaching out. We do have the parts needed to add a 5-flat connector to your 2017 Chevy Express. What you will need to do is install a 4-flat T-Connector, then install a 5-flat upgrade kit. The 4-flat portion plugs in behind the taillights. For the 5-flat you simply have to tap in to the vehicles reverse light circuit. There are no plug-and-play 5-flat connectors for your vehicle, so this will be the most hassle-free way of adding one. Here are the parts you will need: -...

  • 2019 Chevy Express 3500 Trailer Wiring and Brake Controller Recommendations
Hey Scott, thanks for reaching out! The parts you're looking at will definitely get you what you're wanting in terms of wiring and a brake controller on your 2019 Chevy Express 3500, but I actually recommend swapping out the Hopkins Wiring # 31345 with the Tekonsha T-One # 118392. In my experience, Hopkins is less reliable and I wouldn't be surprised if you had to end up changing out that wiring a little further down the road. So for your application I recommend the following parts: ...

The Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ Cast Center - Custom Fit - Class V - 2" # 41946 is a confirmed fit for your 2005 Chevy Express van but the measurements are correct. This hitch does require drilling to install rounding out the holes, so that may account for the difference. My recommendation for you is to use the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class IV - 2" # 14090 which measures 40 inches wide on center. This hitch requires no drilling for installation....

  • Installing 7-Way on 2017 Chevy Express Van
To install a 7-blade in your 2017 Chevy Express van, presumably for a brake controller, you are going to need to do some hard wiring. For a brake controller the first thing you'll need is to add 4-way # 118392 and I've added a link to a video showing how this is installed in a '17 Express. If your 2019 Chevy Express Van 3500 has the tow package there will be a round connector taped behind the rear bumper that a 7-way like the part # A10-7072VP could attach to. Otherwise you'd need to install a 4-way first like the part # 118392.

Thank you for all of the information and pictures! It looks like you should at least have some wiring already run on your 2019 Chevy Express Van 3500 so I'm just as confused as to why you don't have a round plug with a cap inside the driver's side frame rail or blunt cut wiring in the jack storage compartment. Aside from double checking and having someone else check as well (to get a pair of fresh eyes on your vehicle), the only other thing I can really offer is to just run your own wiring...

If your 2015 GMC Savana came with the factory tow package then # HM40975 would plug into a factory harness already present under the van. It is usually tucked up above the spare tire or in that generally area. If that harness is not present on your van then you will need to hardwire in a trailer connector starting with # 118392 for the 4-Way. Then to add a 7-Way and retain the 4-Way I recommend # ETBC7. You are definitely on the right track with parts # 118392, # ETBC7, # 39510, and # 20127 in your cart. I really only have one extra part that I believe you will need to add - part # 10-2-1 which is extra wire for the # ETBC7. It gives you extra feet of the wiring (depending on the quantity you enter) that you will need for the brake controller and 12V power for your 7-Way.
